D. I. Pipes & Fittings

Ductile iron pipe is pipe made of ductile cast iron commonly used for potable water transmission and distribution. This type of pipe is a direct development of earlier cast iron pipe, which it has superseded.

DI Pipe has superseded cast-iron pipe. DI Pipe is differentiated by the spheroidal or nodular nature of the graphite within the iron. It is mostly used for drinking water transmission and distribution. Today's modern iron pipe is made to last more than 100 years.

Our range of ductile iron fittings offer durability and strength for long-term performance across a range of water, sewage, wastewater and slurry applications. Clover's ductile iron fittings are manufactured to AS/NZS2280 for premium quality and superior long-term reliability and performance.

Modern Ductile iron pipe is made to last 100+ years and is an environmentally preferable product due to its recycled content, energy savings while in service, its durability, its recyclability, and the commitment of the Ductile iron pipe industry.

The pipe starts out as scrap metal from old cars and demolished buildings that is melted down and given a new lease on life. Up to 95% of our product is made from recycled material. Once this metal is in its molten state, a crane carries it to centrifugal casting machines where it is spun into a pipe.

YOU SHOULD CHOOSE DI PIPE FOR WATER TRANSMISSION, KNOW WHY

  1. Internal and External Coating

  2. Field Training and Assurance Measures

  3. Durability

  4. Corrosion Resistance

  5. Environmental Benefits

Our ductile iron pipe (DI Pipe) also has the following environmental advantages:

  • Energy-saving due to less friction

  • Prevents leaching of toxic chemicals into the water

  • Recycles steel and scrap metal as raw materials which contribute to 20-25% of the total

  • Pipes are 30% recyclable even after decades of usage
